A visitor drops in…
On May 12th there was lots of activity at Corraun House. Irish Lights were doing some work, preparing to carry out some repairs on the Achillbeg pier. They airlifted approximately 30 loads of building supplies from the field in front of the house over to the island.

It’s a Bank Holiday weekend so naturally the weather has taken a downturn. Here are some amazing pictures, taken last night by Ian Boyle. Corraun House and Sweeney’s Pier in the lightning.

Michael McNamara visits Currane
On Friday August 18th, Michael McNamara visited Currane with some friends from Clare Island to play a session in The George.

Patrick Fallon has kindly sent us the pictures he took over Christmas and New Year in Currane. They include the golf presentation that took place on December 28 in The George.

Framed, mounted prints by a local artist are available for sale in The George, price 45 Euro each. 10 Euro from the sale of each picture will be donated to the Currane dressing rooms appeal.

Ju Ju Anderson has kindly decided to share her photographs of life at Corraun House in the 1930’s with us. Ju Ju is the daughter of William and Annie Anderson. William was once the gardener at Corraun House when it was still owned by the Dickens family.
