John Hoban visits Currane

On Wednesday July 19th, John Hoban visited Currane with John Mhikie and friends to play a session in The George.

On the Bog 2006

Thanks to Mary and John Fallon for sending pictures of Michael and Patrick Campbell working on the bog at Loch Ard during the recent spell of hot weather- perfect for saving the turf!

Named in honour of the legendary Madden family dog, www.patchmadden.com is the family web site. Set up by Allan McAdam, the site includes photo galleries which will be of interest to anybody with a connection to Currane. The site also includes a link to www.futureleds.com, Allan’s own business, selling long lasting, environmentally friendly and ecconomical LED lighting solutions.

The George web site

The George finally has it’s own web site including a picture gallery. It can be found at: www.corraunhouse.com/thegeorge.html.

First Broadband User in The George!

Broadband has been up and running in Currane for some time thanks to a government grant. A wireless hotspot has been installed in The George and Pat Reynolds has the honour of being the first customer to use it to surf the web and read his email while enjoying a pint of the black stuff!
